Stopsley Scouts Plan Celebration Party In The Park

Forty years ago a super Scout Group, the 1st Someries, was formed in Stopsley and present Group Scout Leader Mrs Norma Farish is all set to celebrate the anniversary with a nostalgic party in Ross Park on Saturday 25th September. She is inviting all past members to the celebrations in their old hunting ground in Applecroft Road where the group had their first meeting on 22nd June 1970. She says, “There are over 1500 ex-Scouts and leaders out there who will recall the fun, adventure and challenges they had over the last four decades. We hope that many will come to make this an event to remember.”
