This year we had in the region of just over 150 swimmers aged from 6 to 14 participating. These were from sections covering all 7 groups in the District with members of the Explorer Unit jumping in with their support.
Some 47 heats later we had winners and my congratulations go to all participants for their determination in making it to the finish. Kam Patel, District Commissioner, last year avoided been thrown into the pool. However, keeping up with the tradition, this year Kam ended up in the pool having been pushed by an Explorer Scout.
On behalf of the District I would like to thank all the leaders, parents and the young people for their support with this event, after all without them this would not have taken place.
